just come to this forum, and seems people here are not familiar with the e-procurement, the information here is a bit obsolete.

for example, freemarkets is an international company, famous for e-procurement, but nowadays their period has passed.

and the leaders are ariba, who has bought freemarkets, and sap, i2.

for sap and i2, they are famous for integration of supply chain, in which procurement is included.

e-procurement is not that difficult, but very simple, compared to APO and other supply technologies.

i have used sap, i2, areaba, freemarkets products, for e-procurement, the process is simple, and not that important, it is just one set of the whole process of supply chain.

what we focus, as all viable international companies do, is how to forecast, how to plan, not on e-procurement.

seems people here r not familiar with the supply chain field.

improvement is what we must bear in mind.

The procurement here is the managment method of the goverment, not real e-procurement.
so the results are not importmant.

in procurement, the most frustrating thing is that , it is a method, not the result driven.

if procurement is a method, lots of dirty tricks as bid riggiing, price fixing, will occur, procurement here will be leveraged as a way to reduce prices.

most of the american companies who buys disagree with your idea of method, for those suppliers, a method is also disgusting.

be aware of this.
